He Knows What It Means to Build a Business

Long before Cisco became an Agency Owner at Echevarria Agency, he was an entrepreneur. His experience running a trucking business still shapes the way he works with Texas business owners today.

  1. Building a Business

Before becoming an agency owner, Cisco spent 15 years owning and operating a business in the trucking industry. He managed fleets, operations, and payroll, carrying responsibility for customers, employees, equipment, reputation, and growth. That work gave him firsthand experience of the decisions and risks business owners face.

  2. Learning Through Experience

Ownership taught Cisco lessons that cannot be learned only from a textbook. He had to solve problems others did not see and find a way forward when there was no obvious answer. Along the way, he learned the importance of hard work, relationships, leadership, risk management, reputation, and keeping his word.

  3. Helping Other Owners Protect What They Built

Those lessons followed Cisco into insurance. Today, he brings that experience to conversations with other owners at Echevarria Insurance Agency. He wants to know how a business works, what concerns its owner, and what needs a clearer explanation before discussing which insurance options may fit the business.

“I want to understand the business, build a relationship, and make sure the owner knows what they’re protecting and why.”

A Different Perspective

Insurance From the Owner’s Side of the Table

No two businesses operate exactly the same way. Cisco believes those differences matter—from the people and equipment a company relies on to the contracts and plans that shape its future.

Understand the Operation

A contractor’s vehicles, tools, employees, equipment, and job sites create different needs from a professional office. A trucking company depends on its drivers and fleet. Cisco starts with how the company works, recognizing the years of effort, customer trust, and reputation behind its day-to-day operations.

Identify the Real Risks

Hiring employees, signing a lease, purchasing property, adding vehicles, or taking on higher-liability contracts can change the conversation. Cisco looks at what has changed as a business grows, including contractual insurance requirements that affect payment, so the owner can understand which risks and coverage needs deserve attention.

Build Coverage Around the Business

Cisco’s focus spans Commercial Auto, General Liability, Business Owner’s Policies, Commercial Property, Workers’ Compensation, and Contractor Insurance. The starting point is the business’s actual needs. He wants owners to understand what they are protecting and why, then discuss the options relevant to their company and its future.

The goal is not to throw a list of insurance products at someone. The goal is to determine which conversations are actually relevant to your business.

Cisco’s Approach to Business Insurance

Clear Answers. Honest Recommendations. Responsive Service.

  1. Listen

Start with the work you do, what you have built, and what matters most to you. Cisco wants to hear your concerns before the conversation turns to an insurance policy.

  2. Review

Look at your current needs, contracts, and changes in the business. New staff, vehicles, or property can raise questions about policies that have not been reviewed as the business has grown.

  3. Explain

Talk through what you are protecting and why it matters, using plain English. Cisco aims to offer clear answers and honest, practical guidance without pressure, jargon, or the push to buy more.

  4. Stay Responsive

Keep the conversation open as your business changes. Cisco values timely answers to questions and contract requests, direct access to agency leadership in Katy, and a working relationship that lasts.

Community & Roots

Katy, Family, and Building Something That Lasts

Born and raised in Chicago, Cisco has called Katy home for 17 years. He and Melissa have spent 26 years together, raised three children, built businesses, and pushed each other through challenges toward bigger goals. Cisco is also a proud grandfather. Katy is where they are building Echevarria Agency and relationships with local entrepreneurs, professionals, and business owners.

Family motivates their vision: an agency that lasts for generations, creates opportunities for its team, serves customers as life and business change, and contributes to the community. They want their children and grandson to be proud of how people were treated.

  • Chicago at heart: a die-hard Bears fan, loyal Cubs fan, and lover of Chicago-style pizza—his favorite food.
  • Outside work: music almost always playing, concerts, good food, church, and time with family and their two French Bulldogs.
  • Building a legacy: integrity, faith, hard work, and one decision, relationship, and promise kept at a time.
The Owner’s Mindset

A Business Owner Working With Business Owners

Cisco knows the pride of building a business and the responsibility that comes with it. As an owner helping operate Echevarria Insurance Agency, he brings practical experience to his work with Texas business owners. He wants the conversation to reflect the time, money, and effort you have invested, beginning with the business itself and what you need help understanding—not simply which policy to quote.
